Steve Moore is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of VSC Management LLC, Villa Serena Communities
which manages over 7,000 multi-family units serving more than 12,000 residents in the greater Houston area. In addition to his passionate involvement in crime prevention at VSC properties, Steve serves on several community boards, including the North Houston Management District. He works closely with charitable non-profit organizations, including Ambassadors For Christ Youth Ministries (Board Member), The Westwood Foundation (Founder & Board President), and the Police Activities League (Founder & Board President). Mr. Moore has also served as a substitute teacher in local schools for about five years, and VSC has hired students whom he has taught.
As a widower, he raised three children while working as a professor (Materials Science), engineer (Semiconductor), and consultant (Quartz Resonators) in the electronics industry. Using his personal savings and hands-on skills, he purchased and renovated fixer-upper houses, which eventually led to partial ownership and management of over 7,000 units with more than 200 employees and 12,000 residents, primarily in Houston.
After raising his children, Steve Moore decided to move into one of his properties in the Greenspoint/North Houston area. His reasoning was simple yet profound: "If we manage it, I should be glad to live there." This personal commitment to his work was further demonstrated during Hurricane Harvey, when his staff relocated handicapped residents to non-flooded units, ensuring that no one was left homeless.
Steve Moore and the VSC team have been honored with numerous awards, including 'Best Affordable Housing,' recognition from the Houston Police Department for their Hurricane Harvey support efforts, a free after-school program in Alief I.S.D., and multiple H.P.D. Blue Star awards. These accolades are a testament to their dedication to their residents, whom they consider their extended family.
